WHO WE ARE​

 All God's Children Can Read is a literacy outreach program based on the educational philosophy and mastery teaching techniques of Dr. Maisha Rounds, a Massachusetts Elementary School Principal, National Board Certified teacher, South Carolina Teacher of the Year Nominee, military wife, and mother of four. An advocate for intensive, data-driven, results-oriented reading instruction, Dr. Rounds created this program to support the literacy development of her own children and students. Dr. Rounds rose  to the challenge of engaging her most unmotivated learners through music and movement as a vehicle for instruction. The goal of this reading program is to turn kids on to reading  and build proficiency of the English language while also encouraging physical fitness.


Dr. Rounds earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt University. She also holds 2 Masters degrees in education from Winthrop University and Harvard Graduate School of Education. With 21+ years of PreK-12 education experience, she has partnered with gifted learning coaches who are highly qualified teachers from public and private schools. Together, they engage students by transforming reading into a full contact sport, leaving kids shouting, "Reading rocks!"
